On display at IAF Museum Palam. Recently restored, the emblem on the port side of this Toofani (Hindi: Hurricane), represents No. 29 Sqn. “Scorpions”. Inducted in 1953, a total of 104 Ouragans were purchased from France and served the IAF for nearly 15 years. They were used in anger over Goa in 1961 and conducted recce missions during the Sino-Indian War of 1962. No. 4 Sqn. “Oorials”and No. 8 Sqn.”Eight Pursoots” also flew the type.
