This F-11 was mounted on a pole alongside Navy Road in Millington for more than 45 years before being taken down last year for an outstanding cosmetic restoration. The F-11 was not one of Grumman's more successful designs, and this particular aircraft served in fleet duty for only a short time with VF-33 before being transferred to training commands. While the Tiger served the Blue Angels long and well, this plane was never part of the team. It's nice to finally be able to see the landing gear!
