Front Stbd side low res tele-photo lens view of RAAF 5 Squadron UH-1D Huey A2-649 Cn 5649 at RAAF Base Fairbairn YSCB in Sep1968. Behind the 'Bastard Delta' are UH-1D A2-505, UH-1B A2-717 and another unidentified UH-1D. [Hueys A2-649 and A2-085 were delivered to the RAAF as Attrition Replacements for 9 Squadron Hueys lost in South Vietnam. They were configured differently to the other 5 Squadron UH-1Ds, earning them a distinctive Nickname.] Iroquois A2-649 also had chronic main rotor vibrations and tracking problems, later found to be the result of a slightly bent mast!
