It took Alpha Delta, which set the record for the fastest transatlantic crossing by a passenger aircraft (2 hours 52 minutes from LHR-JFK), nearly that amount of time to travel the approximately 8 mile final leg from Weeks Marine in Jersey City, New Jersey back to the Intrepid.
