On display at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. The Erla Haube canopy is visible along with a taller tail unit. This is a U-4 that came equipped with the MK 108 30mm Motorkanone firing through the propeller hub. Previously a G-6, it was re manufactured as a G-14 or G-10 that served as “Black 2” with II/JG 52. After being surrendered, it was shipped to the USA. The fighter is painted as a G-10 of JG 300 “Hermann” that was formed in June 1943.
