A17-021 was equipped with 'Orange' ARDU test equipment, mounted in the rear Portside seat, which was connected to instrumentation on the Instrument Panel, plus a 'hover height aid' mounted on the helo nose. The Task was ARDU TS1633 - Bell 206B-1 Tropical Performance Trials, conducted at Lae, Nadzab and Mount Hagen during Feb/Mar 1975.
