Notes:

Post-crash view of the Stbd wing root of PNGDF C-47B P2-006 MSN 26637 (ex RAAF A65-65), outside the PNGDF Air Transport Squadron (ATS) hangar at Lae Airfield AYLA in Feb1988. The interior wing structure looked pristine (as-new). [While climbing out of RW 27 Nadzab Airfield on 18Nov1987,one engine failed, forcing a wheels up landing that damaged a wing, resulting in the aircraft being written off. Transported to Lae Airfield - stripped for parts, remained as a hulk into the early 1990s. Presumed scrapped later in the 90s. Ref: ADF-Serials]
