On display at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, National Air and Space Museum. This Horten III all-wing sailplane was one of at least eighteen built in different places in Germany. The Horten III was used in gliding competitions, and some of these swept-wing aircraft were motorized by Reimar Horten. After the war, the tailless gliders were recovered and evaluated by the Allies.
