‘Museum of Flight’ Blackbird Nose Section. This Port side view of the nose of a ‘Blackbird’ belongs to USAF SR-71A 61-7977, Cn 2028. The nose of the Blackbird is now a ‘Sit-In’ exhibit, with Canopy open and ‘Instrument Groups’ marked in colour on a Perspex overlay. Photo taken at the Museum of Flight at Boeing Field Renton, (KBFI) Seattle, on 31Jul2015. (The aircraft was declared ‘Lost’ on 10 October 1968 after a Failed Take-Off attempt, but the Cockpit section survived.)
