Notes:

Correction to A2-649 - Low res vertical aspect photo of RAAF 5 Squadron Bell UH-1D A2-649 Cn 5649 (and another UH-1D in the A2-505 to A2-510 Block) climbing away from RAAF Base Fairbairn (YSCB), during August 1968. At the time, 5 Squadron was training Aircrew and Ground-crew for service with 9 Squadron in South Vietnam. A2-649 was later upgraded to UH-1H when fitted with a Lycoming T53-L13 engine. (A2-649 was the only UH-1D fitted with a UHF-DF 'washbowl' antenna under the nose.) This Iroquois, ex US Army 66-1166, was Delivered to 5 Squadron Fairbairn in Nov 1967, as a UH-1D. (She was transferred to Army in Dec 1989, as a UH-1H. The helo is now in the Army Aviation Museum at Oakey YBOK Queensland.) Apologies for low quality, due to grainy Agfa CT18 35mm slide film.
