The CFM Streak, Shadow is a high wing monoplane with conventional three axis control, equipped with a fixed tri-cycle landing gear. The wings are cantilever type with wings struts. The aircraft is tandem two-seat, with the rear cockpit fitted with full dual controls. Differential braking is provided by heel operated brakes fitted in both cockpits. The Streak Shadow for Indian Air Force is equipped with a 4-stroke, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled Rotax 582/912 engine that drives the ground-adjustable, 3- bladed wooden propellar through an integral reduction gear box.
