A sight not seen since World War 1. Eight vintage Fokker DR.1s and a Fokker DVII flying in ‘Card-Nine’ formation at the Classic Fighters Omaka Airshow (NZOM) on Friday 03Apr2015. The flight was led by ZK-FOK, the Red Fokker Triplane DR.1 representing the aircraft flown by Manfred von Richthofen – The Red Baron. This formation comprised the ‘Magnificent Seven’ Fokker Tri-planes (from The Vintage Aviator Limited) plus two ‘Ring-Ins’: privately owned (JEM Aviation) Black Fokker DR.1 ZK-FKD (Black sheep among the Fokkers), and Fokker D.VII ZK-FOD.
