View of the Instrument Panel of Replica Nieuport 17 N4187 Cn 4187 at the Classic Fighters Omaka Airshow (NZOM), near Blenheim NZ, on Friday 03Apr2015. There is an interesting collection of modern VDO gauges, in addition to the Altimeter and Air Speed Indicator. The Replica has a Rotec 2800 110 hp radial engine fitted. The Original used a Gnome Le Rhone 110 hp rotary engine. (The ‘Vintage’ aircraft is adorned with ‘Fuselage Art’: Stbd side: Sleeping Venus, Port side: Mermaid.) The original military aircraft was operated by the 'Imperial Russian Air Service' in 1917 - by Lieutenant V.M. Pokrovsky (August 1917) and senior non-commissioned officer G.I. Kibasov (November 1917).
