Wg Cdr Anirudh Karulkar & Flt Lt Navjot Singh complete their pre-flight checklist & start engines just like the second Su30 SB318 whose tail can be seen behind Navjot. On the right of the nose is the OLS-30 IRST pod, the lid next to the roundel houses retractable lights to light up the retractable refuelling probe (above it) by night. Next to it is the Angle of attack vane. Checkout the size of that Spear like Pitot tube just aft of Navjot, 5 of those in total on the Su30! [Aero India 2015]
