Ascending in to the clear sky above Manchester after departing from runway 23R aboard flight EK018 to Dubai. The wing of the A380 is huge and a very impressive piece of engineering. The River Irwell weaves it's way south towards Manchester below us we start our 7 hour flight. I was heading to Mauritius, connection to flight EK701 in DXB, also an A380. Taken from seat 77A
