A little bit of classic - 70 years old airframe, still airworthy. Built in 1944 as C-47B for United States Army Air Force with s/n 44-76803. Served in Singapore, afterwards in New Zealand (from 1952). Operated by New Zealand National Airways Corporation, Southern Air Super, Fieldair, Classic Air Services, Alpine Fighter Collection, Mackley Aviation, NZ Aerial Mapping and today by Air Chathams. Twice used by non-Kiwi carriers - Polynesian Airlines and Peau Vava'u Air of Tonga.
