What an interesting day it was. 5x AT-802's used Parkes Airport as their base whilst fighting an out of control bushfire burning NW of Parkes. The day started out at 40 degrees Celcius & blowing a gale but as a result of the fire & smoke, it created a localised thunderstorm.
