The restored nose of RAAF Beaufort MK.IX A9-150 on display at the Australian National Aviation Museum (ANAM) at Moorabbin Airport (YMMB) during the ‘Open Cockpit Day’ on 08Nov2014. The nose section of A9-150 will be attached to the fuselage of A9-13 during its current restoration, (the cockpit of which was destroyed in a crash in PNG.) A9-150 Served with 1 OTU and had a Forced landing on 09Nov45 at Cowell Aerodrome South Australia. Authorised for write off in May 1946. The bare cockpit section was previously at ANAM. It was Traded to the Australian War Memorial, and Acquired by Ralph Cusack. Later re-acquired by ANAM in fully restored condition. (Ref: ADF-Serials.)
