Notes:

Port (Pilot’s) side view of the Cockpit / Crew Module of RAAF F-111C A8-141 Cn D1-17, displayed at the Australian War Memorial (AWM) in Canberra during the AWM Open Day on 10Mar2007. A8-141 crashed in the Hauraki Gulf in New Zealand on 26Oct1978 after a fire started in the main wheel well during an emergency fuel dump. The crew escaped in the Crew Module, which acted as a 'life-boat’ when they landed on the water. (The control columns then acted as bilge pumps!) Low res image.
