This C-130 was one of 5 damaged by a hailstorm at Kandahar air base on 23 April 2014. They were patched up and fitted with replacement ailerons from old C-130Ks for ferrying back to Marshalls in the UK for further repair under an effort dubbed Operation Weatherman. Each Herc was found to have about 2000 hail strikes and some 850 panels were replaced in all. This aircraft shows numerous fuselage strikes and patch repairs to its wing trailing edges as it passes through the Bwlch Oerddrws at low level.
