As part of the celebration of KLM's 95th! anniversary KLM applied a '95 years' decal to one of the last MD-11's in their fleet. She's scheduled to fly the KL0671 (AMS-YUL-AMS) sector tomorrow so catch here YUL spotters! The end for the pax MD-11 is coming close now! Note: Decal only on LH side!

This is the end of a wonderful era! The big three holers are out.. With the Lockheed TriStar, DC10 and Md11 was the sky the place to be.. Only some freighters left. No more pax flights....
Today 7 October 2014 we congratulate our Blue Pride KLM Royal Dutch Airlines with its 95th Anniversary. Great that KLM applied this decal to the wonderful MD-11 which will unfortunately be history as pax aircraft.. 2014 will be the year of final goodbyes to the last pax A300 in Europe of Monarch, last pax DC-10 by Biman, last pax MD-11 by KLM, last 747SP flown on commercial routes by Iran Air.. a sad year for aviation enthousiasts and the end of a chapter in the great aviation history.. well done Chris with this shot, keep up the good work!
