Reputed to be fairly punctual every night, Flight Radar 24 confirmed that on every one of the last seventeen days, EK38 had departed between 2100 and 2206. I therefore made the 54 mile trip on a day with no wind but freezing temperatures, and at 2037, the aircraft was pushed back: I had a window of just over one and a half minutes between the departure of the towing tractor and the blindingly-bright nose light being switched on prior to taxi.
