The Prime Minister of Japan visited Canberra 07-09Jul2014. He travelled aboard Japan - Air Self Defence Force (JASDF) B747-47C 20-1101 Cn 24730 (JF1), and had the spare aircraft along in case of JF1 going unserviceable (JF2 - JASDF B747-47C 20-1102 Cn 24731). JF1 Arrived at 1831 hrs 07Jul2014, and Departed for Perth West Australia at 1147 hrs 09Jul2014. Rear top-side view of JF1 climbing after take-off from Rwy 35, in overcast conditions on 09Jul2014. The jet efflux from the engines is visible against the hills and tree-line.
