After a 3 week adventure I had over in Europe, it was time to go home... in this photo it was seconds away from ending. As a young aviator, it was an absolute thrill to fly the MD-11 across the Atlantic both ways. I was onboard flight KLM 31 routing AMS-YYZ, on very short finals for rwy 06R. Outside my window was Highway 401, the industrial area outside of the airport area and of course the shadow of the MD-11 I was on. A sight engraved in my memory hopefully forever.
