Rare low res image of the Roulettes trailing smoke at the top of a loop at the RAAF 50th Anniversary Air Display at Laverton on 18Apr1971. CA-30 (Macchi MB-326H) aircraft replaced the Telstars Vampire Aerobatic Team in February 1968, but the Macchi Telstars existed for only two months. Operated by Central Flying School (CFS), the Roulettes were formed in 1970 to fly at the RAAF Golden Jubilee celebrations in 1971. This photo was taken during one of the first Roulette displays. The Team now operates Pilatus PC-9As.
