Built in 1943. Previously 42-100884, TS423 and G-DAKS. Owned by Aces High US Inc. Displaying original US Air Force registration '2100884' and serial 'L4'. The Dakota was in the process of having all its markings removed in the open air and 5 hours after this photo was taken it was left with just a grey/green primer. This aircraft was used in the 1982 British TV series 'Airline' with the fictitious registration 'G-AGHY' flying as Ruskin Air Services which starred Roy Marsden as Jack Ruskin. It has also carried the registration 'KG374' in Royal Air Force markings depicting the Dakota that was used during the Battle of Arnhem in the Netherlands in September 1944. Built as a C-47A-75-DL.
