British Airways’ G-BIK_ series was the company’s 1st batch of Boeing 757s, starting deliveries with January 1983. First flight April 6 1983, delivered British Airways April 28 as G-BIKF, with British titles (only) and the blue-belly, wide-striped red flag on tail. Between April 30 and October 31 on lease Air Europe, with full British Airways livery and Air Europe titles. BA livery was later re-designed by Landor Associates in New York, painted in grey-and-blue. Landor livery was wore between 1984-1997. Between 1997 and 2001 BA was pushing the so called Utopia (World Heritage, or Ethnic) liveries, which G-BIKF was worn from May 1998. Seen here before departure for Heathrow with “Wunala Dreaming” tail of the Aboriginal culture of Australia, designed by Aboriginal artists of the Balarinji Design Studio. Since August 12 2002 to DHL Air, converted to Freighter (F) where she is still flying with G-BIKF registration. Scanned from an old slide.
