Stbd side view of all six participating jet aircraft in the Gigatown Pylon Race held at ‘Warbirds Over Wanaka 2014’ at Wanaka Airport (NZWF) in overcast conditions on Sunday 20Apr2014. Photo taken at the first turn in the five lap pylon race. Swiss built DH115 Mk55 Vampire ZK-RVM (NZ5712) is between DH Vampire T.35W ZK-VAM Cn 4171 (A79-649) and Aero L-39 Albatros ZK-VLK (Code 80). The lead group of three Aero L-29 Delphins comprises ZK-JET, ZK-SSU and ZK-VAU. The pylon race circuit was between the Airfield and the hills at rear. (This race was won by Albatros ZK-VLK, in a ‘photo-finish’ on Saturday 19Apr2014.)
