On 01Mar1914, Lieutenant Eric Harrison performed the First Australian Military flight in Bristol Boxkite CFS 3 Cn 133 at Point Cook, while a member of No 1 Flight, Australian Flying Corps (AFC). View of the flight deck of RAAF 37 Squadron’s C-130J-30 Hercules A97-450 Cn 382-5450, taken at Point Cook (YMPC) during the Centenary of Military Aviation Airshow on 01Mar2014, exactly One hundred years after the historic First Flight of CFS 3. The austere C-130J-30 flight deck reflects ‘fit for function’ principles used in 100 years of development of aircraft used by Australia’s armed forces. (The Herc’s tail bears a special 50th Anniversary Logo.)
