On 01Mar1914, Lieutenant Eric Harrison performed the First Australian Military flight in Bristol Boxkite CFS 3 Cn 133 at Point Cook, while a member of No 1 Flight, Australian Flying Corps (AFC). AVM Mark Skidmore re-enacted the flight in a RAAF Museum Replica aircraft on Saturday 01Mar2014 at Point Cook (YMPC). Flt Lt Steve Bekker repeated the flight at the Airshow at 0945 hrs on Sunday 02Mar2014. The wind that morning limited the flight to a short hop – within the length of Runway 17.
