Notes:

Rare close cropped photo of the Second N-22 Nomad prototype Cn 02, as Army Serial A18-002, parked outside a RAEME Workshop at Army Airfield Oakey (YBOK) on 27Aug1979. The aircraft is in special white livery with the blue/ yellow/ red stripes, matching the Royal Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RAEME) colours on the 5 Base Workshops hangar at rear. (The RAEME badge is also on the fuselage.) This aircraft started life as GAF Demonstrator VH-SUR, which was displayed at Farnborough in 1973. She was leased to the Australian Army from July 1973, as A18-002. After she crashed on 03Oct1973, she was repaired by GAF and went back to the Army at Oakey. She is now a ‘gate guard’ at Oakey, in camo livery, and wearing Serial A18-300. Low res photo. Apologies for quality.
