Sad picture! But still Olympic Airways nostalgia must come to end since this company was a world leader in poor management, lack of proffiting and a vote gaining tool for many goverments. Overall I prefer to see this picture than pay more taxes to see this aeroplane (and many others) in the skies...
I've travelled on this aircraft 4 times... Extremely sad to see this, brings goosebumps and accurately represents Greece as a whole at this point.. Stripped and sold of all pride. Olympic going from one of the best airlines in the world, and the best pilots in the world to a regional airline barely staying afloat due to poor management and funding.
This is so sad - I had travelled with this plane when I was young, and I don't remember it very well. It brings so much nostalgia. This plane would transport the Greek diaspora across all the continents in the world. And today's Olympic? Furthest flight is a 1 hour hop. It's a really bad situation and this photo is very sad and moving.
