About two dozen old American Eagle a/c sit forlornly at the north end of KABI, awaiting an uncertain fate. Some have already been cannibalized for parts; others appear airworthy and may fly again. Their presence is something of a problem to the Abilene populace, many of whom consider them an eyesore.
