In almost 3 years of holding a pilot's license, this has to be one of my most memorable flights. Here we are doing a lap of the wonderful island of Madeira at 1500ft, what's amazing is that some of the sea cliffs are over 2000ft tall and so you're actually flying beneath them! Half an hour later I would get to fly the famous Funchal approach for myself. If anyone else with a PPL is going to Madeira and fancies giving this a go, get in touch with me for some contact details.
