Notes:

The SuryaKiran team was formed by the IAF on the eve of the first Aero India in 1996 (successor to the Thunderbolts (flying the Hawker Hunters) and disbanded in 1989) and had its first public performance at the same air show. It was fitting that their last flying display using the HAL Kiran should be at Aero India also. The team will be re-equipped with either the BAe Hawk or the HAL IJT (Intermediate Jet Trainer) Sitara. Over the years, in addition to performances across India, they have also performed in Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos and China.
