The terminal view of the small airport in the city of Covilha viewed from inside a Portuguese Airforce CASA-C295. On the photo you can see two aircraft belonging to the two main Portuguese Pilot Academies: A Cessna 172S Skyhawk belonging to Gestair Flying Academy which is based in Tires (on the left) and a Socata TB-200 Tobago belonging to AAE "Academia Aeronautica de Évora" which is based in Évora (on the right). Dedicated to all the Aeronautical Engineering students from UBI (University of Beira Interior) involved in making this event possible!

I am very sad to say that this was probably the last edition of "Jornadas Aéreas da Covilha", an aeronautical event organized once a year by the Aeronautical Engeneering students from UBI (such as myself), since an approval was passed for the destruction of Covilha´s aerodrome in order to give place for the construcion of a new "Data Center" belonging to PT (Portugal Telecom)
