Window's heating element failed. Slow descent to our destination airport since we were close to it. Forced layover in Egypt was not bad :)

Any more to the story? Obviously you made it down safely, but what caused it? Did you ask for a diversion or make a rapid decent? Kudos to you! I would have lost my dinner and probably more if I were in that situation.
