Notes:

Tail shot of American Airlines N474 (FLT AAL682) as she taxis to the gate on Taxiway Charlie after arrival from Dallas/Ft Worth Int'l (KDFW). The modified tail cone reduces drag, and thus fuel consumption by approximately 1%. Boeing quoted a price of $270K per tail cone, and AA found that they could construct the same part for $35K. The tail cone was designed & built by American Airlines at their Tulsa facility.
