Picturesque Ski-Herc 'Skier 96' - I saw Ski-Equipped USAF Hercules LC-130H 96-1096 at Christchurch Airport on 31Mar2010, and hoped that the aircraft would be at Wanaka for the 2010 Warbirds Over Wanaka (WOW) Airshow. The Crew didn't disappoint us. After a low level 'Beat Up' over Rwy 29, the ''Antarctic Hercules' lines up on Rwy 11 on 02Apr2010, with the local mountains in the background. Thanks to the crew for synchronizing the propellers. The first Ski-Herc I saw (Bu 155917, in 1968) was operated by the US Navy. This USAF Herc also carried 'National Science Foundation' titles.
