Remarks: Since de-orbit burn, she has lost approx 555,000 ft of altitude, 16,500 mph and traveled 5060 miles. Approach & landing airspeed at 10,000 ft is approx. 290 knts airspeed, 7.9 miles from touchdown. Autoland guidance is initiated to guide her to the - 19- to 17-degree glide slope aimed at a target approx. 1 mile in front of the runway. Emerging from the last heading alignment cylinder, she is being flown manually by Commander Alan Pointdexter. She plunged thru fire to get here hence the effects show!
