Away from their homes. Grounded due to volcanic activity in Iceland. At O'hare were grounded following aircrafts : 2x SAS (A333) , 3x DLH (A333 , A343) , 3x GEC (MD11) , 1xBAW (B772), 1xKLM (B744), 1xAIC (B773), 1xLOT (B763) , 1xAFR (A332). Only five were depictes on photo. Also there is EIA B742 tail visible in the distance that was parked at North Cargo ramp.

LH A346 was also here for that week, parked on the west side across from the AA hangar 1. Also 3S 77F was grounded for a couple of days parked on SW Cargo ramp next to the 3 LH Cargo MD-11s.
It’s a nice picture, thanks for sharing with us all. I drove by O'Hare that same day you took this photo but I didn’t have my camera so you are lucky, and I was hoping some one would take and post this photo on line especially with LOT in the mix! Good job
