Notes:

National Museum of the US Air Force. Another unique plane in the museum's R&D Gallery. The Total In-Flight Simulator (TIFS) was used to study how an aircraft would fly before building an expensive prototype. It could be configured with two different noses. The first one was a 2-person cockpit from which onboard computers simulated the handling of various aircraft. The second one could carry a wide array of radars, cameras and other sensors.
