The first ever A380 passenger flight over Antarctica - Celebrating new years eve with a party in the sky aboard the worlds largest passenger plane flying low over the Mountains, ice sheets and Glaciers of the last great wilderness! This was Taken around 1am on New Years Day, the sun was still up but low in the sky giving some stunning shadow effects off the mountains as well as a nice reflection on the A380’s giant wing!

very nice. reminds me of the mountains in Wyoming.
LOL yes the wing is almost camouflaged due to the reflections I can see how people miss it at first glance! Yes am planning on uploading a few more, I did manage to get a couple of pics from behind & in front of the wing as well, though not with such great scenery as it was early in the flight when others were away from their seats. My seatmate got one of the fantastic crew to take her camera into the cockpit during the flyover of Antarctica and got a couple of amazing shots from there she gave me a copy of the pics and her E-mail so I may contact her to see if I can upload 1 of those on her behalf.
Stunning! I had no idea where the wing was initially!
