This Hawk is seen here about to participate in a 208 Sqn nine-ship formation flypast at the Valley Aviation Society charity photo-call and families’ day. This particular aircraft had an Air Commodore in the back seat for the display, which must have put a bit of pressure on the pilot… The aircraft in the front of the hangar is a Hawk T.2, several of which are currently being used by 19 Sqn for the development of a syllabus for the new type, which has a full ‘glass’ cockpit and synthetic weapons suite.
