This shows the interception of a 100 Squadron Hawk ‘aggessor’ during the RAF Role Demonstration at the 2008 Valley Aviation Society charity photo-call. The Tornado has closed behind the Hawk and is slowing to position itself to attack whilst pulling a lot of ‘g’ and condensing the humid coastal air. Note the differential tailplane angles which control the roll axis. I don’t know which of the two participating Tornado F3s this was. All the demonstration aircraft recovered to Lyneham after the exercise.
