This C17 used just about 600mts (1800ft) for take off. It took off from runway 25 without even using the actual runway, it only required the overrun area before the displaced threshold to get airborne.

Glorious shot of the one and only C17. This particular example was operating with the AF2 cargo and supplies, saw it again Monday afternoon but not as light as this! Spectacular result!
