The sun has just about fully risen over the horizon; the air is crisp...and around 32 minutes prior to its scheduled arrival time 'Air China 002' touches down on Runway 31, arriving direct from Manaus, Brazil. Awaiting the aircraft on Apron 9 is a barrage of VIP limousines, heavy Police presence and the Army, ready to unload its precious cargo. I got told off by a member of the armed forces after they thought I took too many photos of it as they were about to begin de-boarding the aircraft.
