ex N72778. Built in 2001. This aircraft was involved in a weird incident. On 3 October 2008, during a flight from Prestwick to Earls Colne (near Colchester), 65 year old pilot Jim O'Neill suffered a stroke and became blind. He declared a Mayday. Military air traffic controllers unsucessfully tried to help him. Finally, he was intercepted by an RAF Tucano. Instructor Paul Gerrard talked Jim to the ground. They landed safely at RAF Linton after several attempts. See film on youtube.com.
