Rob Baranaskas brings home this wounded Warhawk early from the 2008 Jones Beach Air Show. If you look closely, you can see the oil on the fuselage just aft of the engine. Calm, cool, & collected Rob was able to bring this Warhawk home so that it may fly another day.

Sadly, this great aircraft and aviator crashed off the coast of Long Island on Sunday April 5, 2009, while practicing for this year's air show season. RIP - Rob.
WOW!!! THIS IS FANTASTIC! Smoke off the wheels with a very cool helmet pilot after an oil clamp failure. The finest maintained equipment...in this case a $5 part almost downed a piece of history. Bob (pilot) was calm, cool and collected witch allowed for both him and is Warhawk to fly again soon. Is it possible for a pilot to look any cooler than this? I dare you to come up with one! I could only wish to have a shot this good! 5 STARS on capturing a real moment!
