This neat looking plane was built in 1948 to carry troups and gear; however it was declared as surplus by the USAF in 1955 and sent to Shepard Air Force base in Texas to be used as ground maintenance trainers. This Raider is painted to represent a Cold Weather Testing aircraft based at FFO in 1950.
